As part of our commitment to advancing the rights, protection, and empowerment of girls, DARED's Child Protection Officer, Leotine Pietamen, recently facilitated a session during the Girls Leadership Program, supported by Mother of Hope Cameroon (MOHCAM).
The interactive session focused on self-worth, healthy boundaries, respectful relationships, and the importance of protecting one's peace. Through open discussions and reflective activities, participants were encouraged to express themselves, challenge harmful beliefs, and embrace the confidence to make healthy choices.
One of the most inspiring moments came as the girls began to realize that setting boundaries and expecting respect are not acts of selfishness but expressions of self-worth. By the end of the session, participants were actively encouraging one another to value themselves and build relationships rooted in mutual respect.
DARED is proud of Leotine Pietamen's dedication to creating safe spaces where girls can find their voices, strengthen their confidence, and develop the leadership skills needed to thrive.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mother of Hope Cameroon (MOHCAM) for the opportunity to contribute to this impactful initiative. Together, we are nurturing a generation of confident, resilient, and empowered girls.
